How listings work
Who we list
Free AI For That is a curated directory of AI tools that offer a free plan, free trial, or free credits you can use without paying today. We don't list paid-only products, and we don't list free products that aren't AI tools.
How to get listed
There are two ways a tool gets in:
- Makers list it at /advertise/start, for $9 (Featured) or $29 (Spotlight). We check six basic things: the site is real, it's an AI tool, a free offer exists and meets our rule, it isn't already listed, it isn't on our banned list, and the description is honest. We reply within 48 hours, and you pay only if we approve it. Paying never speeds this up or buys rank.
- Our team adds it, for free, at our own discretion. Anyone can suggest a tool; suggestions aren't guaranteed a listing.
Each tool page says which applies: "Listed by the maker (paid)" or "Added by our team". A paid listing also carries a "Paid listing" tag in every list, card and table. Paid and unpaid listings are ranked by the same formula, so paying doesn't move a tool up.
What we check, and what we don't
We check that a free option exists and record the date. We don't check privacy, data handling, security, output quality or refunds. Signing up is between you and the tool: read their privacy policy and terms before you share data or payment details.
Free-at-least-a-month expectation
We expect the free tier you describe to remain available for at least one month after listing. Tools that remove or gate their free offer are de-prioritized in search and ranking, flagged on the site, or removed on the next verification pass (see Verification).
When a tool is not listable
We decline or remove listings when:
- There is no genuine free plan, trial, or credits (paid-only or “contact sales” with no self-serve free path).
- The free tier is gone (
freeTierGonein our catalog) — organic rank drops to zero until corrected or removed. - The pricing page is unreachable or misleading; repeated failures lead to removal.
- The submission is spam, duplicate, or misrepresents the product.
